Just Add Ink #409 | Just Add Eclipse Technique

Hello there stamping friends! It's Friday, Friday,
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend... Now you've got that crazy song in your head. You're welcome! HA!

Welcome to another and all new challenge over at Just Add Ink. Its a fun technique that is still so hot - Eclipse Technique.

I've had a play with this technique a few times and just love it! You can make it as busy or as clean as you like. I've gone for a bit of a CAS (Clean and Simple) Vintage look using a NEW stamp set, Very Vintage, that you will only be able to get with Stampin' Rewards as it is one of the new Hostess Sets.

Either hold a Stampin' Up! Party with me and have $250+ in sales at your party or place a $250+ order with me and you can choose this set from the offerings of the Hostess only sets from the 2018 - 2019 Stampin' Up Annual Catalogue beginning June 1st.

To start off the card I stamped the floral bloom in on the Shimmery White cardstock using Stazon Jet Black ink and then picked up the colour off the lid of the ink pads using and Aqua Painter to colour in the image.

I used the current Daffodil Delight for the yellow colour but the purple and blue colour are newbies - Highland Heather and Balmy Blue. And what gorgeous colours they are. They will be available to purchase June 1st. Come on June 1st! Hurry up and get here!!

I then used the Large Letters Framelits to die cut the 'Happy'. To define the letters a bit more I layered Basic Black under the Shimmery White of each letter, to define that shadow a bit more, and gave each letter a light sponge of Crumb Cake ink around the edge and this also added to that vintage feel.

The Happy Birthday sentiment also comes from the Very Vintage stamp set. I love the font of the sentiment and that its a really gorgeous size too. All finished off with some current and new Ribbon, Trim and Embellishments.

The Just Add Ink Design Team have really knocked this technique out of the park, so go and check out all their creations and come and join in the fun with your Eclipse card. Can't wait to see your creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Kelly's Stamping Friends | Birthday Blog Hop

Hey there stamping friends! Welcome to a special blog hop for my beautiful friend Kelly Kent! It's Kelly's birthday today, Happy Birthday Kelly, and she wanted to share her special day with her stamping friends by having a blog hop (actually she's got two going on at the same time. Eek!) How fun!

I'm the 14th stop of 20 on this fabulous blog hop. You may have come here via Cheryl Taylor or started the hop here with me. Either way you are in for a fun and crafty treat!

There aren't rules or themes to this hop bare one -  Just be creative! Let's hope I've filled the brief!

My cards today are combining Retiring, Returning and New Stampin' Up! products all into one.
Retiring - Birthday Blooms Stamp Set (sniff, sniff), Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends, Colour Me Happy Stamp Set
Returning - Stitched Shapes Framelits , Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin' Blends
New - Graceful Glass 6"x6" Designer Vellum, Black 1/8" Cord, 5/8" Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon

I had the two floral images coloured a while ago. I was practicing and playing around with the Blends following some tutorials and learning more about using the Stampin' Blends Colour Lifter. But once the flowers were coloured I really didn't know what to do with them. I wasn't colouring them (initially) for a card so they just sat on my desk until this morning, actually.

For this Pink Pirouette card I actually CASed - myself, from a card using the same stamp set from 2 years ago. I find sometimes if I'm stuck for ideas I look back at some of my older creations and then use that as a base to get the creative ideas flowing! Even though I used the card from two years ago as my basis for my card today , the two cards from now and then both look totally different from each other.

The second card I didn't want the whole image of the flower on the card and then this time I stamped it up in the top section of the card and then left the rest of the card with the stark, bright white space. Because of the detailed pattern in the Designer Vellum and the Daffodil Delight flower has a lot going on my card doesn't need much else apart from the simple sentiment and a little bit of bling.

This post really is an homage to the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set giving it one last hurrah before it retires come May 31st 2018. I've loved this stamp set and have used it a lot in the past. I'm super sad to see this one go!

Now on to the Netherlands with Ine van den Eijnden and her special creations for Kelly's Stamping Friends Blog Hop.

Just Add Ink #408 | Colour Challenge

Hello stamping friends! Happy Fri YAY everyone! It's time again for another challenge over at Just Add Ink. We are all about pinks and greens for this Colour Challenge with the colour combo suggested for this challenge by yours truly. Pretty!!!

I've used some new products for you today that Stampin' Up! Demonstrators can preorder at this moment but will be available for customers come June 1st when the 2018 - 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue goes live!

The stamp set is called Painted Glass with co-ordinating Stained Glass Thinlits, which you can get in a bundle. But because these two products are part of a beautiful Suite in the new Catalogue there are some other co-ordinating products and look stunning when you use them all together, like the piece of the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum used on my card here, which comes in 6"x6" sheets - 24 sheets: 2 each of 12 single sided designs and the Black Cord, also used here on my card.

I started the whole card with stamping the roses on Shimmery White and heat embossing with Black Stammpin' Emboss powder. I'm super excited that Black Stampin' Emboss powder is coming back in the 2018 - 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Now I don't have to stamp in black ink and then emboss with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. Just stamp in Versamark and then off you go with the black embossing powder. I still had one small pot left over from when it was retired. The embossing of the images goes perfectly with the whole stained glass look of this Suite.

I used all the four colours from the challenge to colour in the roses. First starting with the lightest colour and then going over with the darker to give some depth of colour and some shading. I just picked up the colour out of the lid of the Stampin' Up! ink pad using and Aqua Painter. Really is my favourite way to colour.

The detailed circle is cut using the semi-circle thinlit from the Stained Glass Thinlits and then stuck on to a circle of the same size while at the same time trying to keep all the pieces in the die cut for a delicate and detailed look. The black sentiment and the roses hide the line of where the two semi-circles meet making it look like on circle die. I layered it on a Stitched Shapes die cut just for an added element and prettiness really.

Under the die cuts is a piece of that beautiful Graceful Glass Designer Vellum. I love that its just a small piece just peeking out but the contrast of the black lines with the Shimmery White cardstock really makes those black lines in the vellum pop.

All finished off with some new ribbon and trim - Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Black Cord, and the current Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon. The little and super pretty pink pearls come from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls that you can get at the moment in the Share What You Love Early Release Promotion .

I really do hope that you all take part in this weeks challenge. There is heaps of inspiration shared from the Just Add Ink Design Team so you won't be short of ideas to get your creativity going!

Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop | Share What You Love Suite

Hello stamping friends! Welcome to another Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop. If you haven't hopped with us before, Stamp to Share is a monthly blog hop featuring Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Stampin' Up! markets around the world. Once a month we feature projects made with one Stampin' Up! bundle to inspire you.

This months hop is three bundles in one - Just Getting Started Bundle, A Little More, Please Bundle and Gotta Have it All Bundle, using the products from the Early Release Share What You Love Suite, that will also be avaliable in the new Stampin' Up! 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue come 1st June 2018. Click on the product listing at the end of the post to see what is on offer with each bundle. And , Yes I'm creating with these gorgeous products again. I just can't get enough.

All of the products I've used today you can get in the Gotta Have It All Bundle from the Share What You Love Suite.

By getting the Gotta Have It All Bundle you get three products from the suite, including the exclusive Statement of My Heart Photopolymer Single Stamp (avaliable only during the early release) for FREE. Who doesn't love a freebie, right? And in this bundle you get THREE!!!

I've used some sheets of the Oh So Beautiful Share What You Love Speciality Designer Series Paper as the starting point for my card today. I really love the neutral feel to these patterns and the little pops of colour for a rich and gorgeous pattern. Have you seen the pearlised finish on 4 of the designs of this amazing DSP? It's just stunning, stunning, stunning! Do you think I like it?? Ha! Check out the You Tube Clip at the end of the post to see this fantastic DSP! You really have to see it in real life to see the amazing finish!

I've then pulled the colours from the DSP as the basis for my card using Mossy Meadow (returning colour) and Rich Razzleberry. Rich Razzleberry isn't one of my go to colours but it is so stunning in the DSP and that Rich Razzleberry Velvet ribbon is out of this world stunning!! Just too gorgeous for words! Over the middle piece of DSP I layered some of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Speciality Paper for some added interest and to give a different look to the DSP.

I cut out an Stitched Shapes Square and elongated it to turn it into a rectange and then using my paper trimmer cut out the inner section of the rectangle to create that 'frame' look. The inner panel is then embossed with the very beautiful Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Gosh that embossing folder is fabulous and I just love the way that it gives that really deep impression on the cardstock.

To finish off the card I fussy cut some pieces from the DSP and layered it with some Baker's Twine in the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit, free with the Gotta Have It All Bundle. Did you see that gorgeous Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon! It's super gorgeous and super pretty and available to you come June 1st when the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue goes live. Can't wait for you to get it too!

Lastly layered on top a Stitched Shape Oval with some stamping of images and sentiments from the Love What You Do Photopolymer Stamp Set and some of those amazing
Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

I do hope that I've given you some more inspiration with these amazing products from the Share What You Love Suite. Contact me TODAY to see how you can get these super stunning products!

Just Add Ink #407 | Just Add 'O'

Hello stamping friends! It's that time again for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a good one for you this week - 'Just Add O'.

While I didn't have any stamp sets that begin with 'O', I've gone with an over the top look on my card today while incorporating Ovals, Orange and some Old Olive and yes I'm playing with the amazing Share What You Love Suite again!!! I just can't get enough of this suite, especially the DSP and co-ordinating ribbons and trim.

Again, as I've said in my blog posts before, this card started out completely different to what it ended up being. I originally started with a Blushing Bride Base,  a watercolour wash layer and the oval piece of the new Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. As you can see not an inch of Blushing Bride or Laser Cut Paper in sight.

I've mixed up three of the sheets of the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper for a more of a neutral look with this DSP. The hand painted designs on this heavyweight DSP are stunning and 4 of the designs have a pearlised finish. It's just too pretty to pass up.

I die cut the oval out of the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then embossed it with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It the oval looks fabulous embossed with this stunning embossing folder or you can emboss a whole card layer and use that as a statement piece on its own.

The floral spray on the side of the oval and the 'Beautiful Day' I cut out using my Brother Scan N Cut. No more fussy cutting again!! And then I've finished off the card with some pieces from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit and co-ordinating Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon. All the products from this suite are just out of this world stunning and I just can't get enough.
Get the Share What You Love Products in one of three bundles now or get them individually when the 2018 -2019 Annual Catalogue goes live come June 1st! Check out the product list below to see all the bundles!

Make sure you check out the rest of the JAI design team for all their Just Add 'O' creations. Lots of amazingness to inspire you!! Come and join in this weeks fun!

Fancy Friday Blog Hop | Case the Occasions Catty Challenge

Hello Stamping Friends! Welcome to another Fancy Friday Blog Hop. This months challenge is inspired by the Occasions Catalogue! Select a project and recreate it in your own way! Some of the creations that may inspire you are found on pages 6, 22, 41 and 46.

If you've not hopped with us before we are a group of past and present Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Members. We still love blog hopping together so have a blog hop once a month with everything fun and fancy and showing what we love!

I was inspired by the little note card found on pg 22 of the Occasions Catalogue but recreated/CASED (copy and selectively edit) it with some products from the Share What You Love Suite that will be available to customers come May 1st.

I ended up making 12 little note cards in 3 different designs and then will bundle them up together to make a cute, handmade gift. Might even be fantastic as a hostess gift for your upcoming workshop, especially through May when the Share What You Love promotion is running. I'm not sure what caught my eye about this little note card, but I really liked the layout of it.

I used the floral and leaf images from the Love What You Do stamp set but kept the same layout for each little 3"x3" note card. The Rich Razzleberry flower in the middle I stamped on to Shimmery White cardstock and then just used my aqua painted to move the ink around before it completely dried.

Each note card has a layer of the beautiful Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, a square die-cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and then embossed with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder. I love the look of the embossed square die-cut and that it only shows a part of the impressions from the embossing folder.

All of the cards have the 'Thank' again from the Love What You Do stamp set. When stamping the 'Thank' covered up the You from the stamp with some washi tape so I could eliminate the you when stamping down the 'Thank'. The 'You' on all the cards comes for one of my most used stamp sets - Teeny Tiny Sentiments. I love the mixture of the two fonts for a fun and different look.

Because the cards are quite busy with the DSP, embossing and then the cut out images it really only needed the Share What you Love Artisan Pearls to finish them all off.

You could make a little box to put these cards in or just tie them together with some beautiful ribbon for a beautiful note card set.

Why don't you look through any of the Stampin' Up! catalogues and use the projects as your next inspiration for your next creation. You'll be surprised as to what catches your eye and how you can change it up to make it your own.

Now on to my fabulous friend in New Zealand, Paula Dobson with her Fancy take on CASing the Occasions Catalogue.

Global Design Project 134 | #GDP134 | Sketch Challenge | New Products Sneak Peek

Hi there stamping friends! Happy Friday! I hope that you are having a fabulous day! I've just received a BBB, code in the Stampin' Up! world for Big Brown Box, full of amazing new goodies due for release in the next couple on months. So with these amazing goodies I thought I would use some of them and play along with the Global Design Project - #GDP134. And they have my most favourite challenge - a sketch challenge.

I'm always a huge fan of a sketch challenge, so if I can get an opportunity to partake, I'm in! This sketch is fabulous for the challenge this week.  Here is my card and interpretation of the sketch with 6 Sneak Peek products on it.

I started with a Mint Macaron base and some stamping of the floral image around the border using the Love What You Do Stamp Set from the Share What You Love Suite, that customers can order 1st May 2018 ahead of the Catalogue Release.

I suppose that you have heard the news of a Colour Revamp happening at Stampin' Up! when the new 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue starts come June 1st and Mint Macaron is coming back!!!! Happy dance happening here!!!! Lucky I still had some cardstock and the ink pad from when it was an In Colour from 2105 - 2017. Pays to be a hoarder sometimes!

On the Mint Macaron base is a piece of the OH SO STUNNING and OH SO BEAUTIFUL Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. Can you tell I'm loving this paper? Ha! These laser-cut sheets are vanilla on one side and white on the other. One of the designs is a huge 12" x 12" pattern and the other designs have been made to cut out each section to embellish your cards. Love, Love, Love!!!

I've layered some vellum under the Laser-Cut paper to create a soft look and feel to the card. You could just let the cardstock colour show underneath the Laser-Cut paper for another fun look. I think the vellum really adds to the whole 'pretty' theme to the card.
Other new products on this card is a piece of the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon, Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, and some Baker's Twine and a Silver Adhesive-backed Rose from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.
Lots of new goodies and lots to love, well I do, put them on your wish list now!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
